This script was developed especially for Joey Marmo, so that he could keep up with me on the Guitar! Now dig this ..... Joey is a mighty accomplished musician, I should tell you. But he's a lefty. You know, ...a south paw. Many years ago, back in the early 60's, I gave him a 12-string Honer that I strung up as a 6-string. And I reversed the string positions, running from from high E to low E - so that he could play it the opposite way that the rest of us do. But, Oh No.! Not Joey. He insisted on fingering the frets with the left hand like you and me. He never would hear me say this (so don't tell him), but he became amazingly good. However, when it comes time to jam, ...I catch him peeking over to check out my finger formation. Now hopefully he'll bookmark this page - (and you're welcome to do so too) - so that Joey doesn't have to stay a step behind trying to keep pace with my finger action, ....which is like a lightning strike. It's fast, man. Quicker than soon, ...if you know what I mean. |

Here are some shots that I took of Kansas during their visit out here to Montana! Back in '71 I had the pleasure to meet the members of the band in Crested Butte, Colorado. Our acquaintance came through some mutual friends they grew up with in Topeka, Kansas. There was no doubt in my mind that they would hit the big time one day. And so I must say, ...they are better than good!
